INGREDIENTS: to make this product we use 60% of cherries and 40% of sugar. The production has been handed down from generation to generation. WORKING: when the cherries are ripen they are harvested, at the end of June and early July. They are chosen and selected and after put in big glass demijohns, covered with sugar and put in a sunny places for 40 days and from time to time shaken so the sugar dissolves. When the product is considered ready, the demijohns are withdraw and let it stand in dry and cool places for about 2 months before being packed in jar. HINTS: also can be maintained for 18 months or more. When the jar is open the cherries are whole and covered by a dark red sauce. This work let unchanged the proprieties of fruit and its ruby red colour. You advise it to decorate ice cream, fruit cakes or pies. Keep in cool and dry place.
